Arranging the layout of pieces on the avatar.

Artwork

Image that can be applied to a pattern piece. Type of material.

Assign

Tool enabling the addition of materials to a garment.

Avatar

3D human like models on which garments can be dressed, fitted, and simulated in a true-to-life manner.

Avatar size set manager

Feature managing collections of avatars in sets of sizes.

Closet

Storage of garments simulated on your computer.

Clusters

A group of one or more pattern pieces.

Collision

When pattern pieces collide.

Color blending

How the texture image of a material blends with the chosen color of the material.

Color libraries

Collections of colors available to apply to materials.

Colors in use

Display of all colors in use in current colorway.

Colorway

Combination of color, seams, trims, and fabrics.

Context view

Pane displaying on right side of screen, the content of which is dependent on item selected elsewhere in the application.

Cover

An invisible layer that covers a particular part of the avatar body.

Cross

Pen tool option to draw a line from one piece to another piece to which it is stitched.

Crotch cover

An invisible layer that covers the crotch part of the avatar body.

Cut Mark

Line property.

Diffuse

One of the three channels that combine to determine the appearance of materials. The others are:

Divide

Action that can be done to a pattern piece.

Draft mode

Drape

One of the draping properties of a pattern piece.

Draw

Action that can be done using the pen tool.

Dress

Tool to start simulation of the garment.

Design in sizes

Configuring the size and position of artwork for defined groupings of sizes.

Tool for manipulating objects with context dependent functionality.

glTF

File format for 3D exports.

Glue

Point property. Displays only for an end point. If selected, the internal line to which the point belongs stays right on the piece edge, even if the piece is altered.

Grading

Process of creating a range of sizes for a garment.

Grade point

Point on pattern piece from which grading of sizes is measured.

Grain line

Weave of the fabric: direction the threads run along.

Grid (2D)

Guideline grid available in the 2D window.

Grid (overlay & 3D) Structure used to help with fabric physics and the drape of the garment on a body.

Group

Option to group elements.

Head cover

Pinch

3D styling option.

Pleat

Type of fold in a pattern piece.

Points

Single elements with no area or dimensions, that exist in pattern pieces or on line segments.

Preferences

Application preferences which you can configure.

Prepare mode

Preparing the garment on the avatar before dressing the avatar.

Pressure map

Color coded map on the garment showing how tight the garment is on the body of the avatar.

Print execution

Artwork instruction for inclusion in the tech pack.

Function that allows you to save each piece of a 2D pattern as an individual image at full scale.
